Trials and Triumphs
Trials and Triumphs
The first quarter of Grade 10 in the Special Science Class has been a mix of struggles and victories. I’ve realized that learning here goes beyond the lessons. It’s also about learning more about myself, what I’m good at, where I struggle, and how much I can really handle when things get tough. The lessons were harder than I expected and the workload felt endless at times, but I also discovered that with the right mindset, I can actually overcome more than I thought. Every quiz, project, and performance task became a reminder that growth only happens when you step outside your comfort zone.
Of course, the challenges were real. There were moments when group works felt heavy because not everyone was contributing equally, and I ended up carrying more tasks than I should. Add to that the many requirements from different subjects, and it honestly became overwhelming. There were nights I felt drained and questioned if I could keep up with the pressure of being in this class. Sometimes, it felt like I was expected to give my best all the time without rest and that what made me doubt myself.
But through these challenges, I learned to adjust. I tried to manage my time better, pushed myself to stay organized, and reminded myself why I’m here in the first place. Most importantly, I realized that even if the workload is heavy, it feels lighter when you have friends who share the same struggles and laugh with you along the way. Their presence made my tiring days more bearable, and they reminded me that I am not alone in this journey. The moments when we encouraged each other, laughed despite the stress, or simply shared stories made the load easier to carry. In those times, I saw the true value of friendship and teamwork. I’ve come to see that this place is just as much about having each other’s backs and getting through the tough stuff together.
Moving forward, I want to face the next quarters with a stronger mindset. I will keep striving to improve not just in academics but also in how I handle stress and responsibilities. I want to become more resilient, to see challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles. I know it won’t be easy, but I also know I have people who willingly lends their hand when I'm in need of help, who will support and understand me, and and that makes all the difference.

May you live your life to the fullest erika!
